Morris Finance becomes National Partner of Food Bank Australia
Morris Finance are extremely pleased to announce a new partnership with Australia’s leading food relief organisations, Food Bank Australia.
The new partnership will see Morris Finance become a National Partner, forming a commitment to eliminate food insecurity within Australia.
The team at Foodbank ‘captures’ food that would otherwise go to waste, distributing through 2,600 charities including Red Cross, Salvation Army as well as many other social service outlets, some and individual agencies nationwide assisting people of all ages and backgrounds.
Unfortunately, food insecurity is on the rise in Australia, with more than 4 million Australians experiencing some form of it in the last twelve months. 30% of these people reveal to be living on a low income or pension, being the main reason they’re unable to afford enough food for themselves and families.
Foodbank Australia CEO, Brianna Casey said “We are absolutely thrilled to be working with Morris Finance, without support from companies like them, we wouldn’t be able to continue providing food and groceries to those who really need our help.”
Morris Finance Marketing & Promotions Manager, Tiffany Hicks said “We are looking forward to supporting Australia’s largest hunger relief charity, at Morris Finance we believe it’s one thing to trade in the community and another to give back and participate. It’s heartbreaking to realise how many families are doing it tough. Food shouldn’t be a luxury in this country, so through our partnership with Food Bank, we strive to create a positive change by helping people in the wider community who need it most.”
In addition to our donation, Morris Finance will also be volunteering in the School Breakfast Club programs at disadvantaged schools within the region, helping to provide healthy, nutritious food to children who turn up to school hungry.
We know that this is only the beginning of an important partnership that will create a long-lasting impact on the communities we reach. To learn more about Food Bank, or to volunteer or donate visit www.foodbank.org.au.
